Why cant anything go faster than speed of Light?

Because relativistic formula for energy of a massive particle increases to infinity when you near the speed of light. E = \(\gamma\).m.c² where \(\gamma = (1-v²/c²)^{-1/2}\) if v -> c, then \(\gamma\) -> infinity

well when we do normal Physics.. if u do work on a particle, then that work may get transferred into k.E.. when that happens, we simply say its speed increases.. but Einstien proved that when u put energy into an object, you not only increase its speed, but also increase its mass. How much is the increase in mass?.. well that depends on the speed itself. its seen at speeds substantially lower than that of light (maybe 1 percent lower) , this increase in mass is negligible.. however, as we pump in more and more energy trying to push its speed upto that of light, what happens is most of your energy is now being converted into MASS.. YESS MASS STARTS INCREASING.. YES YOU ARE CREATING MASS.. YES WHAT THEY TOLD YOU IS WRONG.. MASS CAN BE CREATED from energy :D.. (well actually mass is just another form of energy). so now it makes sense.. when u are approaching speed of light, almost all ur energy is used up to make it more and more masssive.. and calculations show you.. like the one above, that when you try to make an objects speed equal to c (speed of light), its mass tends to become infinitely high. Which basically says, that according to current laws of physics* all your effort will go in vain and you ll never be able to reach speed of light, but end up making it more and more massive. *i say current laws because i always keep an open mind. Tomo we may realize that these are not accurate laws, and we may come up with better laws that somehow allow us to reach speed of lights. But as far as today's physics and the idea we have of how our universe works, light is THE ULTIMATE SPEEDSTER.. nothing can beat that speed!

Thanks guys, its all clear now !!
