Write the equation for the second sentence of this problem. To paint his house, Samuel bought 2 cans of paint and one roller for $30. When friends came over to help, he went back to the store and bought three more cans of paint and two more rollers for $50. How much did he pay for a roller?

let the cost of a can of paint be x and that of roller be y first case's equation comes out to be 2x + y = 30 and the ssecond comes out to be 3x = 2y= 55 get the value of x from any of the equation and then place it in the other one.... All the best give it try...:D
