that;'s what I thought as well, but its an A level and the examiners say the period is 20ms not 10ms

IDK why T should be 20ms

The question reads - "The function of C is..."
Is C capacitor? and can you tell something about the circuit (preferably a circuit diagram)?

Well, the question asks for "period" and unless you have to calculate it from somewhere else; fundamental period would be the most appropriate answer.
