OpenStudy (dumbcow):

is that a powerpoint slide :) anyway the max occurs at the vertex of the parabola you can find the vertex using s = -b/2a where p = as^2 +bs + c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no, all of my school work is online, so its just the Skills Tutor program i use. I'm in a post-test so i really need to pass it lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm still extremeeelyyyy confused

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

if this is a post-test then you should have already learned this and technically i shouldn't help you otherwise it will give false conclusions of your mastery of the subject

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

why they allow students to browse the web during a test is ridiculous

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Excuse me? Because i need help on something that the notes didnt very well explain? And mind you, i work on all of this FROM HOME. I am getting my high school diploma from an alternative school in my area after dropping out, by the power of SELF DISCIPLINE. I didn't post it here for rude comments. I posted it to get a better understanding of something I didnt grasp the first time around.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and, mind you, if i were in the building THE TEACHERS or even THE TUTORS would be helping me, because they want you to be able to understand and grasp it, not memorize and forget it. Thanks a lot.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

there was no intent to offend you, you said it was a post-test ? anyway my frustration is not toward you at all its the general trend of online education. here is a good ref site to use this gives the formula for finding vertex of a parabola http://www.purplemath.com/modules/sqrvertx2.htm#formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only took offence due to being told i couldn't receive help because it's a test..? That is honestly a bogus excuse, believe/like it or not. Actually, the education system im going by now is a hell of a lot better than the public system i was in before. At least now, i'm getting help and understanding what im being taught instead of being pushed to the side because i don't understand. Also, i'm maintaining C's and higher, something I haven't done since elementary school. So where is the real flaw in the education system?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

what do you think the purpose of a test is?
