OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

No prob :) OK look at <ABP plz....since BP is a tangent and AB is radius, the angle ABP should be equal to....?

OpenStudy (highschoolmom2010):

my book says it is 57.5 but i dont understand how they got it

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

A few things will help u solve this prob....first look at triangle ACD...AC=AD so <CDA=<DCA...also <CDA + <DCA + <CAD = 180 <CAD=<BAP in triangle BAP and of course <BAP + <ABP +<APB = 180. Above should be enough info for u to calculate the ans to be 57.5. Post back if u run into any trouble :)
