Take the top triangle and use the law of cosines to find the length of the diagonal. Then take the bottom triangle, use the diagonal found above, the side 5x and the included angle 60 degrees; apply the law of cosines to find the left side and equate it to 5x+3 and solve for x.
c^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2abcos(C)
