9>1/2n-8 Show work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you do it if it were 9=1/2n-8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its an inequality

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Inequalities are solved just like equations except with a few extra things. @Grazes is asking if you can do it if it was an equation, which you need to know how to do before solving an inequality.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solving inequalities is pretty similar to solving equations. The only difference is that you flip the sign when you divide by negative numbers. Ex. -x>-1 ---> x<1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just solve it as an equation except instead of the regular equal sign, use a > sign and flip it whenever you divide by a negative number.

If you don't get it, I'd be happy to walk you through it. Just give me the word. Try it first, then ask.
