@raffle_snaffle

OpenStudy (raffle_snaffle):

I can't do this stuff, sorry clara=(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok :)

OpenStudy (raffle_snaffle):

I've never taken geo. Lol

@Mertsj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need explaining?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

28. We know it is a parallelogram and that it has a right angle. Opposite sides of a parallelogram are parallel and if parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, the same side interior angles are supplementary. Therefore all the angles are right angles and the figure is a rectangle.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

29. The diagonals of a rhombus and a square are perpendicular but we don't that it has any right angles so the most we can say is that is it s rhombus.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

30. It is a parallelogram so the opposite sides are congruent. But the problem says that adjacent sides are also congruent so all 4 sides must be congruent and it is a rhombus.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

31. It has one pair of parallel sides but in relation to the other sides, the alternate interior angles are not congruent so the other pair of sides are not parallel therefore it has exactly 1 pair of parallel sides and is a trapezoid.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

32. The diagonals bisect each other so it is a parallelogram.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt 30 a square?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and 32 is a rectangle actually

OpenStudy (mertsj):

33. Opposite sides are congruent. Rhombus

OpenStudy (mertsj):

How can you show that number 30 has a right angle?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Same for 32. How do you know there is a right angle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk my answers say that its a square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have the answers but i dont understand anything

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this what it says 28. rectangle 29. rhombus 30. square 31. trapezoid 32. rectangle 33. rhombus

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well, I guess it depends on how one interprets the directions. I thought it meant to make the most precise answer you could say for sure based on the given information. Maybe it means to give the most precise answer it could possibly be. It that is the case, then 30 COULD be a square because it has 4 equal sides. But we don't KNOW that it is based on the given information.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

But that logic doesn't hold up very well for 32 because the diagonals of a square also bisect each other.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

So if 30 is a square, then 32 should also be a square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankyou soooooooo much i really really appreciate your help :)
