HOW CAN WE FIND THE VOLUME???

OpenStudy (nirmalnema):

of what..??

OpenStudy (kainui):

By relaxing, taking a deep breath, and thinking it through rationally.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the SAF operates the M113 Ultra APC. this arm vehicle has a mass of 1.115*10^4 kg when loaded yet able to float! what can we say about volume.(density of water is 1000kg m^-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in this the mass in given in perfixes

OpenStudy (nirmalnema):

you have density and mass given.. and we know that density = mass / volume so volume = mass / density 1.115*10^4 / 10^3 volume = 11.15

OpenStudy (nirmalnema):

but i m not sure...about it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how can write its mass in calculater

OpenStudy (phi):

you don't need a calculator for this problem. But if you do want to enter a number that is in "scientific notation" you would type in the "decimal part" here 1.115 then look for a key labeled EXP, push that, then enter the exponent (4 in this case)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i got it thankyou

OpenStudy (phi):

nirmalnema showed how to do the problem. The only thing to fix is that because the SAF floats, its density is less than that of water... so its volume will be greater than or equal to 11.15 m^3

cam i ask 1 more ques here???

OpenStudy (phi):

please make it a new post.
