But you could start by process of elimination. Think about comparing an apple on the earth to how that apple would be if you moved it to the moon. It would still take up the same amount of space - so it's volume wouldn't have changed. And it is held together by inter molecular interactions, not its own gravity - so its substance (density) wouldn't change. So you can rule out those two options from the get-go.
