What math courses are mandatory in college? Which one will most likely be the hardest? First question is a direct question, and the second is more of a poll question.

I am European, so I don't know about the USA if that is where you're about to study, but in Europe for a first year Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science student in Mathematics, the mandatory courses are Real Analysis I and II Linear Algebra I and II Numeric / Numerical Methods (Introduction) And dependent on the college, programming.

well it depends on what your major is. Biology major would not require as many math classes as Engineering major, or math major. So there are really no mandatory math courses, other than the fact that you just need to know how to your basic algebra. I find any theoretical course very challenging to me :D cause I'm better at computation. So real analysis is definitely difficult for me.

if you meant mandatory math courses for math major in U.S, then it may varies. However, by the time we graduate, we should have approximately the same level. My school have a list of math courses that we need to take in order to fill our credits. We don't have to take all of them. So some people might take, say, a graph theory course, while others do not. But I can't imagine anyone who graduates have not taken Real Analysis, or number theory
