Evaluate the expression, using the given value of the variable. z ÷ 4 – 8z + 2(z – 5) when z = 12 Somehow I always get either 5757 or -5757, Help me solve please!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Replace every copy of z with 12 (since z = 12) and then evaluate to get z ÷ 4 – 8z + 2(z – 5) 12 ÷ 4 – 8(12) + 2(12 – 5) 12 ÷ 4 – 8(12) + 2(7) 3 – 8(12) + 2(7) 3 – 96 + 14 -93 + 14 -79

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

So that means z ÷ 4 – 8z + 2(z – 5) = -79 when z = 12

That's what I've been doing though, But I must be doing something wrong because I tried Solving it again and I still got 5757 ;-; @jim_thompson5910
