A bottle of salon shampoo costs fifteen dollars for thirteen ounces. What is the approximate unit price of the shampoo? eighty-seven cents per bottle zero point eight seven ounces per dollar one dollar and fifteen cents per ounce one point one five ounces per bottle

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

eighty-seven cents per bottle is obviously not correct, if we have to pay fifteen dollars for a thirteen ounce bottle. one point one five ounces per bottle isn't correct if the bottle contains thirteen ounces. zero point eight seven ounces per dollar is correct arithmetic, but it is not a unit price because it doesn't tell us price per unit.
