How are linear graphs similar and different?

OpenStudy (31356):

A nonlinear graph could mean either plotting a nonlinear function on linear scale, or plotting anything on nonlinear scale, such as log-log or semi log plots. The latter mean the scale of the axes is nonlinear.

OpenStudy (31356):

Non linear equations have an exponent, linear equations do not

OpenStudy (31356):

They both show results of data on a graph and the trend but linear graphs form in a pattern or a straight line while nonlinear graphs have no pattern in a jumbled up line

OpenStudy (31356):

The plotted line in linear graphs is straight, while that on nonlinear is curved. For similarity, both graphs are plotted to show relationship between 2 variables, often x and y.

Medal?

Thanks a lot. :D

OpenStudy (31356):

@JoannaPink ,Medal?

OpenStudy (31356):

Your welcome

OpenStudy (31356):

Hungry for a medal :P

Keep asking an I wont

OpenStudy (31356):

Thx anyway
