2x + 4 > 14 or 2x + 4 < -14

2x > 14-4 or 2x < -14-4

2x > 10 or 2x < -18

x > 10/2 or x < -18/2

x > 5 or x < -9

So to graph this we

step 1) Draw a number line

step 2) plot open circles at 5 and 9

step 3) shade to the right of 5

step 4) shade to the left of -9
