why do We might use scientific notation
so when we are doing math with really big or small numbers, it won't take up as much space like 300000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 = 3 x 10^50 so scientific notation takes up a lot less space than the actual number :)
Scientific notation, also sometimes known as standard form or as exponential notation, is a way of writing numbers that accommodates values too large or small to be conveniently written in standard decimal notation. Scientific notation has a number of useful properties and is often favored by scientists, mathematicians and engineers, who work with such numbers. Essentially, it's more practical to write large numbers in this way because it saves time. Scientists are lazy :P
