You and two friends visit a pizza shop. There are 15 toppings. 5 toppings are meat and the rest are vegetable. Each of you orders a different topping (no repeats) at random. What is the probability that your group orders only meat toppings?

Although this type of problem is not my forte, I'd like to suggest that you might approach it as a problem in combinations. You have 15 different toppings taken 3 at a time (as there are 3 people in your group). C 15 3 = 455, according to my TI-83Plus calculator. By all means ask if you have further questions about this or want more explanation of how to calculate C 15 3
ohh so would it be 15 x 3
'Fraid not. Have you worked with combinations before? C 15 3 represents "the number of combinations possible when 3 values at a time are taken from 15 choices." that comes out to 455. The formula for that, in case you're interested, is 15! ----------------- 3! (15 - 3 )! where the ! is to be interpreted as "factorial." Have you seen any of this before?
no i havent sorry
