Time to discuss

OpenStudy (taylor<3srin):

Who do you think is the most influential and successful musical artist(s) of the first decade of the millennium? (I ask that all opinions be respected unless it is a troll comment)

OpenStudy (nottim):

Mozart. Or Beethoven. Maybe Bach.

OpenStudy (taylor<3srin):

oops I made a mistake I meant to say "First decade of the century".

OpenStudy (taylor<3srin):

I was asking for opinion @Jacquisback

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Tchaikovsky too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh I'm sorry

OpenStudy (taylor<3srin):

"Died: November 6, 1893" Doesn't seem like he fits the time frame Poopsie

OpenStudy (taylor<3srin):

:P

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

shush

OpenStudy (taylor<3srin):

noyou

OpenStudy (anonymous):

John Lennon?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Which century?

OpenStudy (taylor<3srin):

21st

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Then I would say Melle Mel, Ella Fitzgerald, Prince, Ramones, and The Beatles as they were the influences that created the artists that made the most memorable and sucessful songs of the first decade of the 21st century OR Madonna and Bono because they were the artists of the first decade of the 21st century because they have been cited by so many others as influencing their work.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

So depends on if you mean what made that decade or what came out of it to influence others.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sadly, even though it's not my style, I'd have to say Prince, the Beatles, or one of the 80's hairbands.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes, 80's hair bands, the beginning of what they now call "country rock." It is just rock-a-billy going back to its roots, so there was no need for a new name. Especially since it has little to do with country and a lot more to do with jazz and rock.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Prince and Ella Fitzgerald. The Beatles too, I guess. I love Bono though!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bessie Smith, The Beatles, Ella Fitzgerald. That's all I got.
