((please answer the mRNA,codon,anticodon,amino acids)) DNA: A T A C G A A A T C G C G A T C G C G G C G A T T C G G mRNA: codon: anticodon: amino acids:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now can you write the mRNA seq ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U A U G C U U U A G C G C U A G C G C C G C U A A G C C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just give me a moment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah u got it right , now can you tell me how many nucleotides make a codon.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3?? i guess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah that's right. so club the nucleotides of the mRNA into groups of three to get the codon sequence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i reach the "stop" of amino acids am i supposed to stop or keep going

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that you will come to know once you write down the codon sequence. If you do come across a stop codon then you cannot write amino acids beyond it. so just write down the codon sequence as this will tell you if there is a stop codon or not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank youu!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you just show me the codon sequence which you got. the question says you also have to write the anticodon and amino acid sequence. will you be able to do that or you need help ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe i can do that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anticodon: UAC-GAA-AUC-GCG-AUC-GCG-GCG-AUU-CGG amino acids: MET-LEU-STOP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry u got the anticodon sequence , from where did you get that sequence i mean DNA/RNA and can you also tell me where are anticodons present ( which biomolecule)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry you got the anticodon sequence wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u get C in the first anticodon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because G=C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but if you look at your codon sequence is there a G in the first codon.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no..but i need to go first on "met/start" so my start is AUG, so AUG=UAC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your right that an mRNA should begin with a start codon , but the DNA sequence given by you does not code for a start codon (its just random sequence given to you to test your conceptual knowledge). So unless and until the DNA sequence given does not specify a start codon never assume that you should start your mRNA sequence with AUG else you will get wrong answers. So your first mRNA codon is UAU. Now can you write the correct anticodon sequence

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you first show me the codon and then the anticodon sequence
