does anyone know how to convert e^x|e^(x+1)-1 into a logarithmic equation? (it's all one equation, I just put the | there so it's easier to read).

We cannot get a clear picture of what your starting equation is. Does that line mean division or multiplication or what? Is it (e^x)[e^(x+1)] - 1 ? if so, use (a^n)(a^m) = a^(n+m) rule
