Solve the inequality. Graph the solution set. Can someone please show me step by step how to solve this? http://awesomescreenshot.com/0df29vxu17

2r - 9 >= -6 --- add 9 to both sides 2r >= -6 + 9 2r >= 3 -- divide both sides by 2 r >= 3/2 (same as r >= 1 1/2)

That's what I got and I chose A. which was incorrect. However, answer choice C.has the same answer so I'm assuming that is the correct answer? Do you know why the numbers are placed on the number line like that though? I don't understand that part...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A and C are not the same....one is >= and the other is <=. However, I do not understand the graph of C. It does not match the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hm... that's true... So you think A is the correct answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think C is the correct answer. I think graph B and graph C are in the wrong place. They should be switched.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is r >= 1 1/2, but it goes with graph B, instead of graph C.

Oh... I see.... that makes more sense. Thank you. I'll talk to my instructor about that mishap before proceeding with that... And see? You trying actually helped me ^-^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol...finally helped someone....good to know :)

Just keep trying... You can't do achieve without attempting.
