Kayla notices that she can buy snacks & candy in bulk at the grocery store. The snacks she wants to buy cost $1.29 per kilogram. write a formula that will help Kayla determine how much she'll have to pay if she buys food in bulk. t=total price. k=number of kilograms of food.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well if t = total price...we know that will be the independent variable...and since we don't know how many kilograms she'll be buying...we don't know 'k'...so that will be our variable...and each kilo cost 1.29...so T = 1.29k
