HELP PLEASE, I WILL GIVE A MEDAL In the diagram, lines m and n are parallel. If m∠2 = 150 degrees, find the measure of the following angle(s). (picture below) ∠4 = ? Answer choices: 120 degrees 50 degrees 30 degrees 150 degrees
Can you explain to me how to do this?
corresponding angles are congruent http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/corresponding-angles.html
indeed :) mathisfun :P lol
That still doesn't help me because, I need help with finding the measure of an angles.
I'm in 6th @WoozWorldRocks!
congruent means equal angle 4 and angle 2 are corresponding angles corresponding angles are congrent
Oh, so the answer would be: ∠4 = 150 degrees?
YES!
Can I have a medal please know because I don't have ONE!
thanks!
Haha, sure. No problem! :-)
I just faned you!
brb!
@jigglypuff314 is this correct? angle 8 ≅ angle6 angle7 ≅ angle3 angle2 ≅ angle 4 angle2 ≅ angle6 angle5 ≅ angle3
≅ means congruent to
correct! :D
So, ∠6 = 150 degrees?
yep :)
Ok, so ∠4 = 150 degrees ∠6 = 150 degrees Would ∠8 = 150 degrees because, ∠8 is congruent to ∠6?
correct!
Do you happen to know, how to find out what ∠7 =?
5 = 7
I know that: angle7 is congruent to angle 3. I need to find the degrees. I have to choose from: 1. 130 degrees 2. 30 degrees 3. 150 degrees 4. 15 degrees
angle 3 is supplementary to angle 2 so if angle 2 = 150 then angle 3 = 180 - 150
So, angle 7 = 3- degrees?
yep ;) 30 degrees XD
Yeah...that was a fail...THanks!
no problem :P
WAIT
Can you check one more thing?
sure :)
Identify the parallel lines from the given diagram. The two marked angles are congruent. (diagram attached) Answer choices: a and c b and c a and b non of the above **My answer: a and b***
correct :)
thanks
you're welcome :)
