Choose the slope-intercept equation of the line that passes through the point (-2, 4) and is parallel to y = -3x + 6. y = one thirdx + 14 thirds y = 3x + 10 y = -3x - 2 y = -one thirdx + 10 thirds

****I dont really know how to do this.

@phi can you recommend someone to help me? Or can you help me? :)

OpenStudy (phi):

I think they want you to learn (memorize) that when you have an equation in the form y = m x + b where m and b are numbers... then m is the slope of the line and b is the "y intercept"

OpenStudy (phi):

can you figure out what the slope is of the line described by the equation y = -3x + 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay? even when I was reading the lesson this came from it didnt really make sense so what im looking for is the simple A,B,C,or D answer to be honest.

I dont know really how to figure out slope and stuff so when yall help me keep that in mind please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and I cant figure out y = -3x + 6 because if I could than I wouldnt be asking for help D:
