There needs to be a way to cut down mass tagging. People should only be able to tag three people in a single post. Is there any way to make this happen?

Yeah that way we cant get tag-bombed when someone wants to know the answer to a simple question. I like this idea

The yellow looking posts just mean that you were tagged in them. It is OS's way of letting you know that someone wants your attention :)

It should be possible, I'm sure this can be implemented. Mass tagging can really lag the site. :P

I wonder are the individuals at fault messaged? Maybe make this clear to all people that mass tagging is unacceptable. I would take it that most new people do this.

Yeah but it doesn't take a lot of common sense to know what would be considered annoying. I think that they know, they just don't care.

Not necessarily especially when just tagging different people. If you are constantly tagging the same person I think that is more common sense for people.

Personally, I am against you idea :(
In "mass tagging" a lot many people get tagged only once and they can chose to change their notifications setting if they don't like it (although I can't see why?)
Tagging the same person over and over again is irritating and should be discouraged.

I am actually in favor of the option of group tagging..like if I ask a question in SRT; I should be able to tag all those users with an expertize in the same..

but often times mass tagging people that get tagged dont have a clue what the answer is or how to help and that results in more taggings (i know from being in something like this before)

i think what we were saying was to make it where the person could only tag so many people a minute then just block all other tags after that but i like the change in that that would be much better to choose what subjects you get tagged in

I think this is a great idea!! But there would have to be a way that there has to be ONLY a limited amount because people can delete the tags and add more when needed.
Also, if you think this is a good idea, people who advance more with their SS score can have more tags. For example, orange color SS scores would have 3 tags available, yellow can have 4, so on so forth. Just a little thing I thought of, so you can agree or not.

You shouldn't have to go into your setting and make it so you can't be tagged. I think maybe 3 tags per question seems acceptable. Everyone needs to wait for someone to help. So why should others be able to get answers just like that? Masstagging should be stopped. And hopefully will be stopped.

@beccaboo33 it isnt to hard to go to settings to say you wont get tagged in a certain subject as i like that idea more because i dont mind being tagged to a question but why be tagged in a subject you dont know
