OpenStudy (doc.brown):

Fraction: How many equal parts you have over how many equal parts make a whole. There are 6 equal parts in a whole flower. You have 8 equal parts and 6 parts make a whole, the fraction is 8/6 Then you subtract 3 equal parts where 6 parts make a whole. 8-3= 5 Now you have five equal parts, where 6 make a whole. What's the fraction?
