Alright, so, I tried to use the quadratic formula on x^2+2x+2 to find the final two roots for x^4+x^2-6x^2-14x-12=0, but I keep getting imaginary numbers. Does someone know if I'm correct on this or doing it wrong, or?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you're doing it right. there are only two real roots

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the other two roots are complex
