The Industrial Revolution improved the living quality of the workers and their families. So I'd say D.

I think it affected it because in the Industrial Revolution actually resulted in people's jobs being replaced by machines. As a result they were left homeless, their lives didn't improves. Least that's what I've read. ~~(^^)~~
