If r = 5 units and x = 12 units, then what is the approximate volume of the cylinder?

pie* 5^2*12=3.14*25*12=250*3.14=nearly 750 But use calculator for precise value.

rockstar, let me explain. A cylinder is a circlular disc but with height. So, the area of the circular disc, like any circle is; pie*r^2. Now, to get the volume of the cylinder, just multiply that area with the height of the cylinder. ie, V=pie*r^2*h. This is how this formula appears.
