draw and name all of the structural isomers that are ketones with five carbon atoms in its longest chain and the molecular formula C5H10O. Can this molecular formula also have an aldehyde structure? If so, illustrate and name the aldehyde. Can this be drawn as an ether? Explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are these right? 26) Ketones: 1)CH3-C-CH2-CH2-CH3 2-pentanone || O 2) CH3-CH2-C-CH2-CH3 3-pentanone || O 3) CH3-C-CH-CH3 Methyl isopropyl ketone (3methyl-2-butanol) || | O CH3 ALDEHYDES: 1') CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2-HC=O Pentanal 2') CH3-CH(CH3)-CH2-CHO - 3-methylbutanal 3') O=H-C-CH(CH3)-CH2-CH3 -2-methylbutanol 4')(CH3)3CCHO-pivaldehyde (aldehyde) Ether: CH3-CH2-O-CH2-CH=CH2 -allyl ethyl ether or 3-ethoxy-1-propene CH3-CH2-O-CH=CH-CH3 Im not sure the name of the last one is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it ethyl-1-propenyl ether?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it should be 3-Ethoxyprop-2-ene
