@mathstudent55 do you by any chance know how to solve this?
this is a transformation of the graph y=x and y=-x can you see that?
because its an absolute value graph is why you get the V shape.
since the graph opens upward, value in front of the x term should be positive.
and since the graph is in quadrant II the x should be negative.
