My brother needs help with some sixth grade math can someone please help him! i will give you a medal! Here is his question: Estimate 8 and one-third times 2 and four-fifths using any method you like. Then find the actual product. Use your estimate to show that your answer is reasonable.

Are you sure it's not your homework? >.> Anyways, if you want to estimate it then you should round 8 1/3 to 8 and 2 4/5 to 3. Can you do 8 times 3? To find the actual product, you have to convert 8 1/3 and 2 4/5 to an improper fraction. You can do this by multiplying the whole number part by the fraction's denominator. Add that to the numerator and then write the result on top of the denominator. Multiply the fractions normally.

Thanks so much for the help, and it is his homework i just didn't know how to solve it myself LOL
