Check my answer please? An equation is shown below. 2x + y = 3 Part A: Explain how you will show all of the solutions that satisfy this equation. (4 points) Part B: Determine three different solutions for this equation. (4 points) Part C: Write an equation that can be paired with the given equation in order to form a system of equations that is inconsistent. (2 points)

@sourwing what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've had this question before.. maybe I can find it.

OpenStudy (lena772):

okay great. :)

OpenStudy (lena772):

@agent0smith

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

Your parts A and B look good! I confused at the wording for part C though.

OpenStudy (lena772):

oh. i was just saying the equation i listed is parallel to the first (they won't meet) so there's no solutions. therefore , the two solutions are inconsistent.

OpenStudy (lena772):

Inconsistent equations: A system of equations that has no solutions.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Good job.

OpenStudy (lena772):

Thanks @agent0smith

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

Oh haha then yes it all looks good ^.^
