If an electron and a proton were dropped in the exact middle of the diagram in which would be accelerated towards its attractive side the fastest—the electron or the proton? Why?

so this drawing is kinda crappy, but for the first part, since PE for charges has a 1/r dependence the positive charge closer to the right should have the most PE. For the second, think about the masses of those two particles, since they have the same magnitude of charge (though one is positive and one negative) which one accelerates faster, the less or more massive? Think about the formula for acceleration.
