Solve the equation, y = 7x + 10, using the x-values, 3, 5, and 8. Which of the following T-tables represents the ordered pairs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wherever you see an x value.. put the number 3, 5, or 8. what y = is what the y coordinate is of the ordered pair.. what x = is the x coordinate. example... for y = 7x +10, when x = 3, y = 31, so the ordered pair for those coordinates are (x, y) = (3, 31)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 7x +10, then when x = 5, y = 7(5) + 10, so the ordered pair for those coordinates are (x, y) = (5, ?)

got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no but did you see what i attached to it could u tell me which one it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = x+5.. when x = 5.. what is y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i do not solve problems, i just try to help with understanding how you do them so you can do them on your own.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will im in middle of an test i cant take the time to learn it now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = x + 5. when x = 5.. y = 5 + 5, and if you remember from 1st grade.. 5+5=10.. so we can say that y =10. so y=7x+10. if x = 5.. we put in a 5 wherever we see x. so ?=7(5)+10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is (7*5) + 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is y. that is your y coordinate in the table of values.

good luck.
