A financial Math problem from http://saab.org

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i'm not mistaken you can solve it by solving the system of equations \[\large x=300*20(1+i)^{ 20*4}\] \[\large 5x=300*40(1+i)^{ 40*4}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean \( \begin{cases} \large x=300*5(1+i)^{ 20} \\\large 5x=300*10(1+i)^{ 40} \end{cases} \) where i is the interest.

but that doesn't seem to get the right answer either.

don't remember much but it has to do with the future value of an annunity Amount 300 and 10 periods ( every 4 years for 40 years)

Here is a solution generated by http://saab.org @zimmah @triciaa1 @Lena772

Ah thanks, it's a little more complicated then i initially thought, but it does make sense.
