What implication does the endosymbiont theory have for phylogeny? a. The origin of eukaryotes is much earlier than previously believed. (my guess) b. The phylogenetic tree includes places where the branches separate and come back together. c. Eukaryotes and prokaryotes had independent origins, so there are really two phylogenetic trees. d. It will be impossible to trace the phylogenetic relationships of eukaryotes. Thanks! x
