(3 + i) - (2 - 2i) A. 1 + 3i B. 5 - i C. 4i D. -1 - 3i May someone please explain step by step how to solve this... I used the FOIL method but either I used it incorrectly

FOIL doesn't work because it is not a multiplication of two binomials, it is actually a subtraction. (3 + i) - (2 - 2i) is equal to 3+i-2+2i since - (2 - 2i) = -2+2i so 1+3i
