What is the minimum value of f(x)=xlnx? I know you're supposed to find f'(x). I got f'(x)=1+lnx. Now you're supposed to set it equal to 0 right? I'm stuck there.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

0=1+lnx like so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x=1/e ?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now what do I do?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

plug it back into the function to find the function's value at that point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the minimum value is -1/e ?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

correct :)

Yay! Thanks!
