i need this to happen. when someone goes off.
cause its so annoying when i am talking to someone in PM and when i see that persons profile they are off and it seems that i am talking to myself :/

Well, I believe that if you had offline notifications, there will just be more people complaining about how annoying they will become. I suggest just waiting till they get back online.

I don't see how the offline notifications would help. If they're getting offline, they're most likely getting off they're computer too. In my experience, OS doesn't work very good on mobile, so even if they got the notification via email or text, they wouldn't be able to sufficiently reply to it.

I don't mean to sound difficult, but how would it help? If they can see your message, but can't reply, would't you still be talking to yourself?

So...sometimes people don't reply on purpose.
and they go off when it is urgent, like sometimes when (someone) have to go shopping at the very moment, they will just lock the computer and go...and sometimes they just ignore (people)
It happens to me sometimes that i send many Pms to people and next when he really ask him/her "Why didn't you reply me?' and the answer is, "Because i went to sleep and forgot to go off." or something silly like that..
I agree that notification won't help but it should be like Skype has.(Away, Invisible, Offline, Online, and Do Not Disturb) that everyone else can see.

Ohhh okay i get what you mean, but that only happens for some users. Like i never log out, and it says im not online when i close os.

Well fanning people is really the fastest way of knowing when they're on or offline.

i have already fanned thousands of pupils and that makes a list too...(if 56 people are on and 56 people are off) it would be hard too to see if that person to whom i am talking to is off or on??
