@ranga can you help me with two questions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want you to check my answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Point P is located at (−2, 7) and point R is located at (1, 0). Find the y value for the point Q that is located two over three the distance from point P to point R. A) 4.9 B) 4.7 <--- My answer C) 2.5 D) 2.3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Am I correct ?

OpenStudy (ranga):

Not B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then D because that was my second guest

OpenStudy (ranga):

P = (-2, 7) and R = (1, 0) A point that is 2/3 of the distance PR from P will be at: -2 + (1-(-2)) * 2/3 , 7 + (0-7) * 2/3 They are asking only for the y-coordinate. We just need to calculate: 7 + (0-7) * 2/3 = 7 - 14/3 = (21 - 14) / 3 = 7/3 = 2.3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So D?? because I have the exact calculation on my paper

OpenStudy (ranga):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I knew it I was making sure ok last question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the area of the image below:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A) 59 square units B) 65 square units <----- My answer C) 72 square units D) 83 square units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used the distance formula
