let Z intersect DC in F than will get FE like altitude in triangle DCE note FE = x so than FB= x+2 consider the right triangle FAB FA = 5 ft AB = 10 ft FB = x +2 ft writing for these pythagora will get FB^2 = 100 +25 FB = sqr125 = 11,18 ft so than FE = 11,18 - 2 = 9,18 ft ide divide aja FE bisect angle E in E_1 and E_2 so than writing tan E_1 = opposite side divide adjacent side so this mean tan E_1 = 4/9,18 = 0,43 so E_1 = arctan 0,43 E_2 = arctan 0,43 angle E = <E_1 +<E_2 so like an idea to solve it hope this will help you good luck

your answer is so appreciated, trouble is, I don't understand what you wrote. It may be clear to you, but not to me. I need the explanation in everyday language, not mathspeak. If I understood that, I probably wouldn't have the question. I do so much appreciate you taking time to answer, but I just don't understand what you said.
