Dave is moving 3 m/s when he crashes his bike into a wall, which stops him in 0.6 seconds. If Dave and his bike have a mass of 90 kg, what was the force applied by the wall?

OpenStudy (roadjester):

I'm not too sure on this actually but I'll give it a shot. acceleration is change in velocity over time. so if Dave is moving at 3 m/s for 0.6 seconds, if you divide 3 by 0.6 you'll get acceleration. F=ma you know the mass of the bike, so if you then multiply the mass of the bike by the acceleration, you should potentially get the force.
