Communication is considered ethical if it ________________. a. demonstrates an understanding of many languages b. shows sensitivity c. relevant to the topic of discussion d. uses complicated terms
Honestly, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it is B. Read somewhere that Ethical Communication generally involves treating people fairly. B fits that most, don't you think?
Yes I do, Thank you
Anytime. Good luck. :)
Thank you XD
The National Communication Association (NCA) states: "ethical communication enhances human worth and dignity by fostering truthfulness, fairness, responsibility, personal integrity, and respect for self and other."
Does that make B the right answer?o-o
Well, that is at least one way to say respect for others, which is in there.
If you look at "relevant to the topic of discussion" you can be a jerk, but still be relevant, and not be ethical.
uses complicated terms <- That has nothing to do with ethics at all. I mean, if I talk about how you are the epitome of sartorial impeccability is is no more or less ethical than saying you dress well.
Too many big words for my liking there :P
demonstrates an understanding of many languages <- OK, so lets say I am in a group of only English speakers and I start using Japanese and Russian. Is that very ethical? So even by elimination, B is the best choice.
