Nvm, it was epigraph ! lol I knew it, because an epigraph is usually a quote or poem; something of that nature that isn't really necessary in non-fiction texts.

True, I barely learned the grammatical use for "abstract" and the answer was epigraph is not a main characteristic of non-fiction.
