Water has a high heat capacity so it can store a lot of heat. 83% of the blood is water, so it does certainly help carry oxygen and nutrients. It also helps remove toxins and waste. Urine is just water with these things dissolved in it.

of course it does, since it can store so much heat energy. That energy leaves the body when you sweat.
