Evaluate: 2m + 5n, when m = -13 and n = 10. A. 24 B. -24 C. 4 D. -4

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

A. 24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer would be A but you need to know how to do this soo , you simply plug in the values for M and N , so that means the equation would be like this now ; 2*(-13)+5*10. Then Simplify 2*(-13)+5*10 which would be -26+50 , simplify that and you get 24.

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

2(-13=-26 5(10)=50 -26+50=24

slightly confused but i understand thank you both

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

substitute the -13 in for m then substitute the 10 in for n then multiply -13*2 and 10*5 and then add them together
