ILL GIVE MEDALS: Does anybody know what a percent of change is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. The percentage change in something equals the change in its value divided by its original value times 100.

OpenStudy (helpblahblahblah):

thank you!! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Change is if you had 5 books, but now have 7. The change is: 7-5 = 2. Percentage change shows that as a percent of the old value ... so divide by the old value and make it a percentage: So the percentage change from 5 to 7 is: 2/5 = 0.4 = 40% so you would take the change in the value divide it by its old value then mutiply it by 100 to get the answer.
