solve using quadratic formula: 2x^2-x-4=2 Please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first subtract \(2\) from both sides so you can start with \[2x^2-x-6=0\]then use \[x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}\] with \(a=2,b=-1,c=-6\)

ohh..... Thank you.. I didn't know what to do with that "=2"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now I know how to do it.. thanks a lot.:D @satellite73
