A sealed rectangular container 6 cm by 12 cm by 15 cm is sitting on its smallest face. It is filled with water up to a level 5 cm from the top. How many centimeters from the bottom will the water level reach if the container is placed on its larger face? PLEASE HELP!
Can you find the volume of water inside the container?

i kind of understand but isnt there an equation for finding the volume? would you do BAxH?
The formula is: V = length * width * height
Just be careful in this case because the height is not the entire height of the box. It's only the height of the water inside the box. We are looking for the volume of the water inside the box, not the total volume of the box.
